my heart missed a beat when i saw this photo. it is a very emotionali-hard shot.
age is just a number right? it's the life expieriance that matters, and i can see by here face that it wasn't easy for her- the wrinkls and expression like to an older woman who suffered trugh here life-time, but the composition shows you how small that girl is- pressed into the corner.. this is very good photo.

when i saw this photo, i felt the same things.. a nice mix of shade&light made the composition stronger and i think this photo is a superb example of rembrandt lightning. sometimes when you saw a photo like this, you want to write a story on it. this photo is one of them and as you said age is not just a number, it's the fact that we experience..
very nice photo, makes your heart to ache..
