In this illustration from my short story, Double Trouble, we see twin brothers David and Billy watching nervously from the sidelines at Danielle, the latest threat to their winning their school's contortion competition. Was thinking for a sec of a 'verse similar to the one of your current story where all of a sudden the poor kid has a sister he never had before. The look on their faces on the art is because that thing she's doing is step one to some routine that is kind of overtly dangerous in terms of possible spine damage or something (typical show-off not thinking things through kind of worrying situation).

A dangerous routine would be cause for alarm and is a bit darker for the story than I wanted to do. I reasoned that the cause for their alarm was that she had a very good chance of winning the competition because her routine was better than theirs and they had to come up with something better very quickly.

Actually it was her resemblance to David that gave me an idea for another short story involving David in another transformation. But right now I'm finishing up the second story in this series and I wish that Barry were still around so he could illustrate it. Well, technically he did about 5 illustrations in the new story.
