I didn't have much time to properly color these sketches,so have them as little Christmas doodles.
Because I simply love the idea of mistletoes - and naturally many of them would be scattered around my characters
leading up to very different reactions.

Hello! I’m here from with some constructive criticism.
First of all, I love the idea and the overall style of this piece. It’s nice to see the way these couples all differ from each other, from the large things like the various poses/expressions to the small details like the wreaths around them. It’s clear that a lot of thought and care went into this drawing, even if it’s not super polished. (I personally think it looks like a finished piece, though, not just a doodle!)
Each of the characters clearly has a lot of personality, and although I don’t know anything about them, this drawing makes me want to learn more! Their very different relationships and clear care for one another are compelling. The designs also look nicely different from one another, despite all of them having realistic hair colors and hairstyles. The blond characters in the first and last pictures do look very similar, though (I’m not sure if that’s intentional or not).
I also like the smooth, soft, pastel colors. Looking through the other comments, it seems like you digitally added colors to a hand-drawn piece, which I think works really well.
Honestly, it’s difficult to come up with anything that doesn’t work well. The only real thing I can come up with is that it would be nice if the images were bigger, so the fine details would be easier to see. To make them fit better in Deviant Art’s display, you could also rearrange them into a square formation instead of lining them up one after another.
Also, as a suggestion for a future piece, you could also play around with the angles a bit more. It seems like most of these portraits have one character facing forward while the second character leans in from the side. The similarity is especially noticeable in the first and last portraits.
That being said, I really like this piece, and I think you did an excellent job with it. Keep up the great work!

Thank you :3 this piece was a bit of a struggle (took me a year to finish it) I was supposed to fully color it but that didn't turn out well so I ended up with some
light flats only... so not what I was aiming for, but okay for what it is... I might redo something like this one day...
The blondes are not related, but they are often mistaken for siblings because they look a lot alike 
The boy actually has notably darker hair than the girl but there the difference isn't that noticeable.

I know my fair share of anime - but rest assured these two aren't quite much like those two (except for the haircolors XD) Speed and Ame are this "happy married mature" couple.
The last one, Mercury and Lumia, are a bit of a trickier case of him having a crush on her and she's not sure what to think of it ;D but well she likes him alright...
I'm glad you like the colors, I had difficulties with how to color these and I ended up just going with very light base colors.

This IS proper coloring and shading. It's this kind of super soft pastel watercolor that I see in my little niece's princess books, and that fits the theme incredibly nicely.

Hah thank you XD I colored it just before getting to bed like "oh I gotta get this done THIS Christmas" because I actually made this sketch a year ago already XD I had planned on doing a full digital painting but I was too tired for that so I just threw in some colors and played around with lightness and gradients.
