I know it's the wrong gender but, why do I get a feeling of Donkey Kong when I see Mega Kangaskhan?

Other than the color scheme I'm not sure I see the connection. If it had longer arms maybe.

I don't want to be "that guy", but I really genuinely liked Kangaskhan previous to gen 6. It wasn't top tier or anything, but still serviceable. Then Mega Evolution happened and it gained the power to destroy everything and I for one couldn't be happier.

I had a bit of a soft spot for the big hunker beforehand too.
