Description I've always wanted to draw KOS-MOS. <3 she's beautiful :3

I did drew her once like a long time ago but it didn't look right. -_-; I tried it again this time since I was watching the anime and stuff XD

It's a shame this game is so obscure it's pretty cool ^^
(although I still haven't beaten it Dx...damn you Cherenkov D< )
I have a vague idea of the storyline at least from the anime...I love it <3 I'm a Sci-Fi nerd a bit so that's no surprise. (star wars fan first)

I used a ref from the cover of my anime...that's probably why her body looks weird Dx but I love how her outfit and legs came out at least.

KOS-MOS (c) Xenosaga *has no idea about the company right now*

Xeno is Bandai-Namco.

it looks good, but the further down you went the smaller you got. very good for a male figure, but for a female remember the hips should be wider than the rib cage. guys taper inward at the waist, girls flare out. think of a funnel, it's right-side up for guys, upside-down for girls. c;

I think you just have the same issue as me though and you keep getting smaller as you keep drawing. I started drawing what I normally do first ( the head for example ) last, and then everything naturally fell into proportion, cuz you keep drawing smaller as you go, so things that were once too-big turn out smaller automatically.

just being aware that you do that as you draw can also help. just keep checking now and then as you go along and keep a big eraser handy. draw with the intention of erasing, that's what I do. it helps me.

good job over all though.

Thanks and yeah I see what you mean. After I really really looked at it, it looked a bit off to me.

I always start with the head and go down. Sometimes getting the head right takes me awhile and then go down from that. I'm still working at female anatomy so with more practice I'll get there XD.

I just HAD to draw KOS-MOS though XD she's friggin amazing.

using references can mess up your proportions too cuz you're focused on looking at the part you're drawing at the time. I try to look at the whole picture at once, like say you're drawing the eye, but don't just look at the eye, look at how far away it is from the nose, eyebrow, hair, etc.

if you do well with looking at references to learn how to draw, you can go a step further with looking at refs to see proportions. putting a ruler on your ref pic or using your finger/etc to measure distances between points can help a bit. o 3o

-throws pointless tips at- xD
