Japanese reading order!
Finished! Photoshop does still hate me, so it's without color but it looks interesting with the gray shadows.My first fight scene ever and it was pretty difficult for someone who hasn't any idea of Martial Art.
Thanks to and her sister for acting as models for the fighting poses. It think I've fallen in love with Chinese clothes and swords (I watched so many Martial Art movies for this one), a pity the characters are more Japan inspired xD
Yes, it's again Aikka and his fencing master.

I find it amusing that Aikka is fighting with that dinky little thing, whilst his mentor is using a full-out sword.

But, yes. Some of the panels are hard to interpret (would be easier if I stopped reading it in the wrong direction, rofl) but you did a nice job.

Waow I love it! Aikka and Canaan sure are in good hands with you girl ^^ Gray shadows have a fine dramatic flow when it comes to fighting scenes, so it's a good choice here.

Very nice drawings, you did a good job on the poses and ink lines. Some of the actions are a bit unclear to me, though. I think you could have used more speed lines to help the movements flow better. For instance, in the first panel we can see Aikka is far away from Canaan, but in the fourth panel he's suddenly in front of him. Adding speed lines behind Aikka will show that he has dashed across the floor. The same method can be used in the next panel when he's moved away again. And what's happening in the last panel, exactly? It looks as if Aikka is being blown backward. Is Canaan using some special attack against him?

uff, special attack? You are right that Canaan pushs him back in the next to last panel. In the last panel Aikka stops falling backwards and is maybe going to attack again. It must look clumsy to an animator's eyes ;3 I had the problem that I had the whole scene in my head and had to decide which pictures I'll take, so that the movement seems possible. This is really difficult with a scene full of action :/ but I'll practice!
I admit I'm scared of speed lines, I never know where to put them... With my next action scene I'll definitively use more speed lines.

I ruined the BG anyway, it can't be Alwas or Oban because that looks different. For Nourasia the BG is not detailed enough... I wanted it to look neutral because I had no time to think about how Nourasia could look like.

About Canaan, well if you didn't know yet, Savin didn't give him a name until a fan suggested one. Thus his name is Canaan. I kinda like him but he doesn't have as much impact. I guess he's there to protect Aikka or keep an eye on him. At first I thought he was Aikka's dad

Hm, I don't know why he paid him not so much attention. Maybe because the people should concentrate on Aikka and not on his fencing master.

I've always wondered why as well. I actually thought Canaan was his real name due to the whole fan fiction thing, his name popped up everywhere. Then after re-watching the entire show over a couple dozen times, I came to the realization that his name, none the less the name "Canaan", never popped up in the actual show at all.
He seems to be an intrigral part of the series, if very small part. I mean, he does act as his teacher as well as help the audience realize the signifigance of Aikka's decision. Without Canaan, Aikka would be talking to himself in ep. 24.
