Description This is the same needle as I had before except I tweaked the textures a bit, added the bottle of fluid, and made it look like both are siting on a stainless steel tray. I hope you like the improvements.

The model is absolutely superb. Great job modeling for sure. I agree with modestmouse on the materials idea. The plastic looks a little dull and I think it would help a lot if you placed a metallic shader on the needle itself. Excellent overall. Keep it up.

Well I'm not very good at texturing, but one day I'll give this needle another shot that I hope lives up to you and Modestmouse101's standards.

it looks better but ONE thing that would make it REALLY damn cool, would be if you made a custom material or something with reflections, so the steel or the plastic of the needle can truly be seen. The little medicine bottle fucking rules though.

good job. Few tips:
For the bottle, it looks to me like you placed a circular plane to creat the fluid. I suggest you make a cylinder and make it just hte right size to fit inside the botthe. What this does is create depth to your fluid and it really helps. Also for the liquid texture, make it have a bumpmap, and for the bumpmap use the water shader, then lower it down to around 2-5%. Then go to displacement illumination and add a water shader and put that at around 2-10%.

The table is ok, but you cant really tell its chrome, soooo what i suggest doing is placing a plane above your scene out of view fromt he camera, and add details to it like lights, and roof textures. That way you will see the reflection of that roof on your table which will give your scene a sense of depth.

(ps, the reason y i think the fluid in the bottle is a circlular plane is because of its reflection.

Well thx for the compliment and just so you know i used a cylinder with a boule to make the fluid. So thats why it looks a little off, but this way the fliud is exact. I never thought to include a bumb for the liquid it might look cool. Maybe I'll make a ceiling like you suggested but not until im done my sword. Anyway thanks again.

np. i didnt even think if a boule. makes sense though.

man though, ive been looking through some of the sample scenes that i got with 3Dsmax6 and my jaw is still on the ground. Its going to be a while yet, but once i learn enough to place lights, and model effectivly then i can already say im going to release things that will blow everything ive done away. be ready for it. cause seriously MAXs render engine is superb. blows cinema to the winds.
