I'm happy with my drab world at the moment, but this is a great tribute to the power of imagination!

I think he is looking for publishers at the moment. If he gets a deal, I will let people know...It's an amazing work by a remarkable man.

I love how this piece might seem silly with its pulp-serial monsters at the forefront; yet on further inspection it's actually very poignant. Mr. Barr certainly has done an outstanding job with this piece.
I remember watching a clip of Harlan Ellison talking about how humans were born with a great tool box of things like logic, reason, dreams, and imagination. And with this great tool box we can improve our quality of life. So, I guess never stop having dreams. And in some cases never stop having nightmares. You never know how they might help.

wow! an impressive drawing, showing us the power of imagination.
i like how the ''villains''/characters are drawn in the top of the pic, they have very scary/grotesque/unique facial features, and they look like a very good comic book's material!
also, i like the drawing of the child that is sitting on the destroyed couch, sketching out new things and new heroes, from its own wild imagination.
the question is: why is this house so damaged?
i can understand that the kid is poor, and living in a very sad, poor, and dark enviroment, but still, its strange to see the shelves fallen down on the floor, the windows and the mirrors to be all broken like that, and to have many old books tossed down.
i mean, it could be a poor house's furniture, but it could be at least better organised.
oh, im nitpicking again.
sorry about that. (i was just curious about what was going on in the picture)
its a really nice drawing, and it shows us the power of imagination.
its a great thing.
you can create entire universes from your imagination, and many good artists in here are the living evidence of that. (and with curt being one of the most excellent artists in DA/the net.)
good drawing indeed, thanks for sharing, man!
it gives us food for thoughts.
oh, and perhaps you should convince colin barr to make a profile in DA. it would be awesome, and it would introduce him to (even) more people.

In Glasgow, there were many old houses waiting to be demolished in the 1970s - And the artist here used to dodge school and read comics all day hiding in the old rooms...!

i like that he implemented that detail in his drawing, its a really cool thing.
also i like how he draws those comic villains, cool!
