Because she doesn't. My storyline, the queen in the comic is her half-sister. Whom she met years after Star Fox Adventure.

Here's how my story went. Yes, Krystal's home planet was destroyed by Andross, but some of her people were taken to be slaves. After Krystal joined the CDA, she went on many adventures with team Star Fox, one even taking her to one of Andross's factory worlds. There she reunited with her mother, but she finds out that her father is dead, her mother met and had a child with another man, a prince of Corneria, who also died. The other female in the comic is that child, who goes on to be the queen.
