Noticeable feature(s): Zira has a stripe that starts from her forehead to the back of her neck. Her claws are always out as well, its not known if its due to not being able to retract them or if its by choice. The notch on her ear is from her attempted murder on the Crowned Prince, Kopa.

"No one quite knows Zira's backstory, but she seems to prefer it that way. She and her pridesisters (Who later become Outlanders), come to the Pridelands after Mufasa's death. Scar, the newly appointed king, takes them in as he feels the other Pridelanders would be too "soft". Which he was right, they were too set in with the old laws, while Zira and her group, having no attachments and such to the lands, were eager to follow Scar's new laws without question. Zira herself starts to fall for the male, but sadly, learns the truth: Scar is unable to produce cubs. However, it doesn't stop her from finding males and mating with them, resulting in her producing several cubs in some hopes one would be named his heir. Sadly, Scar rejects each cub for his own reasons, which angers Zira. Its not until she adopts an orphan cub, who looked VERY similar to Scar... That he decides to name him his heir, and even taking credit of being the cub's father. As such, Kovu is the name given to the cub. However, Simba, who had previously been believed to be dead, comes back, fully grown and overthrows Scar.

Zira and her group are also banished for refusing to bow down to the new King and due to their loyalty to Scar. As a result.. Zira swears she will make Simba and all he cares about suffer in some way.. She even almost kills Simba's firstborn son, Kopa, but he manages to escape her grasp. As a last resort.. She begins to train her own children to become assissans so they can take back the Pridelands. However, her first three children all vanish, likely have gone off as they wanted nothing to do with her plans. While angered, Zira instead focuses on training Vitani and Kovu, as they showed promise. After Kovu has a chance encounter with Kiara, one of Simba's offspring after Kopa's disappearance, sets off a series of events. Zira trains Kovu especially ruthlessly until he adopts her ways. However, all her plans backfire- Kovu falls for Kiara, betrays the Outlanders and loses her other son, Nuka, during an ambush. Whatever is left of her sanity also dies.. And thus, goes on a full on war with the Pridelands. However, her own group also turn on her, including Vitani, her own child.. With nothing else to lose, Zira attempts to murder Simba but is stopped by Kiara. Both fall and while Kiara tries to help Zira, the lioness is too far gone.. She instead utters, "No, never.." And lets herself drop into the roaring waters below to her demise. At long last, peace regains over the Priderlands and the Outlanders become part of the pride. However, Zira's memory would haunt those involved for years to come.."

And my take on Zira! I'm kind of thankful I didn't see the Lion Guard version as I've read she was beyond butchered in there. At least in the second movie, she is an actual villain- And thus I kept it as such! And I also tried a different way with her- In my HC, Scar is sterile and unable to reproduce. And we all know how Zira is, so.. She decided to try and produce an heir for Scar in hopes of gaining a higher rank. Sadly, none of her biological children make the cut, but Kovu, her adopted child.. Does. And we all know the rest! I chose not to make her and Scar mates 'cause its done to death and even one of the producers of Simba's Pride even stated she's just a very devoted follower, which I chose to do. She DID have feelings for Scar but he never had any for her and just used her for his own personal reasons, the jerk. XP And yes, I also used the famous lines from the deleted scene of Zira committing suicide because.. it just fits her all too well! Anyways, hope you guys enjoy!
