Definitely the largest, successful example of this type of knife I've ever made. This was intended to be a kitchen knife (the spine is just barely wider than 1/8" at the thickest point) but the customer had concerns about the abilitly to do rocking cuts due to the way the blade and handle interact, and also the lack of curvature to the edge (a valid concern). I plan on forging out a whole new one to suit their need, but I finished this one out because I'm very pleased with the proportions. And even though it probably won't be used for its originial intent, it is still a useable item.

Forged from a single bar of 80CrV2, hardened and tempered back to approximately 58 HRC. Blade length is approx. 7", handle is about 5". Total length of the piece is just over 12".
