Description
This is the first of about 20 chisel blanks I'm making for an upcoming class in Japanese metalworking techniques. The faces are veeeerry teeny-tiny, none of the current dimensions on the business end is greater than 4.5 mm. Right now this is just a rough finish that will get cleaned up just a bit when I switch to a finer grit sanding belt to bring all the dimensions down to their final size. The striking ends will also be reshaped a bit, right now they're a bit blunt and fat, they want to be just a little tapered on all 4 sides. Total length of all of these is just over 100mm, or nearly 4".
