To be honest, it certainly is! It requires a lot of courage and regardless the outcome you most of the time feel either relived or proud -if not even both- afterwards~

I bet it isn't the easiest situation to be in and I sometimes (or actually almost always) feel so sorry about confessing my feelings to people as I know even if it is hard for me to bring the "first" step, rejecting isn't that easy either especially if you are very close with the said person. To top it all off, internet and social life has many good examples how some extreme people may react to rejection which probably doesn't make it much easier either
It is actually very sad to see people getting rejected and along with that they also reject the entire friendship... But thankfully there are some sensible people out there as well, from both parties, who can actually handle the situation(s) maturely

I can't really understand why some people want to reject the friendship as well... If I was the one who had to refuse, I'd still be very flattered and of course want to continue the friendship. And if I was the one who got rejected, well, of course I would be quite disappointed but why would I want to let go completely if we get along so well that I even had a crush? x3
Anyway I'm very happy that you are still friends, and hope you'll eventually find your love as well! ^^

To give some perspective, I was at your age before my first date ever, so it's never too late I guess... Although I believe I was lucky as I'm still with that same person after nearly six years, I think age increases confidence so today you have better chances than yesterday!

Yeah I'm a very happy man and can't imagine living without her anymore... And to think of it, my uncle was around 40 years old before he found his first love, and they're both way over 50 now and still together so don't you give up either! Not that I doubt you would anyway, but seems that the older people get, the more likely they'll find their true love. x3
