What would you expect to find under an apple tree, Apples of course

This was the first time I tried to do that under the tree shading, where the leafes let light pass trough. I toke me forever to find how to make it, they where looking like leopards (they still look a little bit), I ended up using the shading color on the hole body (on a separated layer than the regular color) and then erasing the shading were I wanted ligh with a the soft eraser (more specifically, every random place)

But if someone knows some better way to do this, I'm all ears (or eyes, since I'm reading)
