With great power--and great hair--comes the need to find great shampoo. It is a constant hassle, so it should be no surprise that these guys are always grumpy!
Silliness aside, I do love these guys. The basic form is very pleasing, and makes for a very respectable sort of creature; something like the mean between a pig and a horse. But you have done a wonderful job with the unique hair, clothes, expression, and even physical build of each.
Pig horses...Perhaps they are some of Pinkie Pie's long lost relatives?

Had I been drinking as I opened my message inbox, I'd have most certainly nearly spat my drink. And I concur, finding the right magic shampoo is tough- practically a trial unto itself. And that's not even talking about conditioner!
And I'm glad that their forms read so well to you. I'll admit that one of the biggest reasons I painted so many of them was because their shapes were just so pleasant to draw. There was something about them that lent themselves well to expression as well, something I could always use more practice with.
