Um, dude, whatever happened to the Manga category in Fanart?Anyways, this is Apollo and his mamodo Ropes (the little ladybug-like thing on his palm) from the anime Zatch Bell/ Gash Bell.
Watch the Japanese version, NEVER the dubbed. I'm telling you, if you watch the dubbed, it sounds like a show for 5-year-olds XO

It's too bad that, uh, well, the anime Apollo (I don't know about the manga) is drawn rather crudely. It's part of the reason why he didn't become very popular with the fans.
I stumbled upon this Japanese site long ago (it's now closed down though
) and the artist of that site was a fan of Apollo. She drew great art, filled with shadows, intense lighting, and Apollo with kids, little birds, and such. It's inspiring. The way I draw right now HARDLY comes close to that level of beauty

I miss Rops and Apollo..... Anime was better since they actually showed them using Dino Riguron, rather than the manga which just shows them suddenly holding a humongous boulder.

Whether you want to watch the english or japanese version is a matter of personal taste. Though I agree that most anime is better in Japanese, I decided to watch Zatch Bell in English to relieve the memories of when the show used to premiere on TV when I was younger (all of a sudden, i feel so young again ). Although all dubs have their forthcomings, ZB's dubbing is better than the standard dubbing to a certain extent in my opinion.
About the picture, I was so glad to find a pic of Rops and Apollo, they really need more love!

Oh, that was done on purpose, since I can't draw grass for the life of me. Just thinking about each single blade of grass hurts my brain.
