I was truely inspired by the maga called "Elfien Lied". A shocking and moving story that you MUST read on [link] and/or watch on youtube.What truely made me draw this was the song. It's sad, but has a beautiful melody. I thought Shadow would fit the song because he killed so many loved one's the he would not forgive himself for what he did. Listen to the song here on youtube. I actually wanted to give Shadow a helment, I thought his spikes would look really silly. I did this pic traditionally and it took me 3 days. I had to use a ruler to get this thing in proportion. I gave him banages to make him look bad ass a little plus a gun, because he uses it in battle a lot, but IT'S bad ass.

I made the idea from the manga book Elfien Lied. I watched the Anime and the stance and eyes idea came from there. I compared the the main character from that manga book to Shadow because they were pretty much alike. So I drew this.
Took me ALL DAY to color it mostly. Killed me, but I survived.
