In 2017, the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and the last of Sonic SatAM came to an end. Almost a year later, the new Sonic the Hedgehog comic series published by IDW, based on strictly the games, began. Despite the end of SatAM in the 90s and the end of Archie Sonic, fans still loyal to the fanbase surrounding Archie and SatAM longed for the return of Princess Sally and thus the Rally For Sally movement began, noticed by many including SEGA of America.

Sally Acorn has never been more popular since the 90s, since the Archie Sonic days. Now, she's serving as the patron mascot for the movement, raising the Rally4Sally flag. Come on, people! LETS RALLY FOR SALLY! Who cares if SATAM and Archie are defunct, who cares if SEGA wants to focus on Modern Sonic and the games, who cares if SEGA of Japan and Sonic Team despise anything not related to the games? We wanna see Sally Acorn again, support the cause and rally for her.
