A redraw of a moment in the SA2 intro and the cutscene that plays before the battle in Sonic Generations, as many know, Sonic and Shadow have been rivals/frenemies/allies from the beginning ever since Sonic Adventure 2 when they first met. Sometimes they're allies one minute, then they're enemies and everything else in between.However, Shadow does have some respect for Sonic, despite his awkward portrayal these days as, in the eyes of some fans, an egotistical and arrogant, overconfident jerk rival to Sonic always wanting to prove he's the best.
