TLDR update!
- volysse now have houses and can live in cities!
- the cloud where they are born eventually solidifies into a glass-like terrarium where they live!
- terrariums are always translucent, but shape, color, and size varies from voly to voly! (there are no traits attached to this, so do what you want!)
- they can put anything they want in the terrariums as long as they can lift it up from the ground! living beings placed in the terrarium become Super Healthy and semi-immortal. volysse pets LAST. they don't need to eat or drink as long as they're in the terrarium, although aquatic creatures/plants still need water.
- there are a few very rare floating cities! these are formed when multiple volysse combine their terrariums into one. this behavior is most common for reef volysse and least common for stormlysse, who never form cities.
- their houses do (slowly) follow them if they migrate or move!

General
Volysse are a race of cloud-dwelling light sprites. They levitate by nature, and their wings are mostly used for movement or, especially with the less practical/realistic wings, decoration. Their bodies automatically adjust to changes in altitude and pressure, so clouds are dense enough for them to lay on.
Volysse are born the first ray of sunlight in the day hits a cloud. It's not guaranteed that a Volysse will be born each time this happens, and births are reasonably rare. The cloud they're born in determines what type of tail they have.
They are diurnal, and sleep on clouds during the night. Volysse have a magic aura that keeps the clouds formed around them while sleeping, so there won't be any cloud noodles falling out of the sky because a cloud dissipated while they were taking a nap.
Additionally, due to this altitude adjusting ability, Volysse can descend down to the surface and not suffer from altitude sickness. Al
