Description
DS4P -> Reality/LuxRender to 2350S/pThe lightsabre glows were done by merging in a version of the image saved from LuxRender with bloom effect enabled. The bloom wrecks the rest of the image, however, hence why merging just the sabre areas into a non-bloomed image is required.

The sabres are emitters, yes. The bloom effect gives them the surrounding glow, however, since that is not easily simulated within LuxRender directly.

Good Job. I like it. What is the set in the background?

The background is Dranik's Cellar, sold at daz3d.com. However, I replaced all but the urn and webbing textures using the "Pimp My Prop" (terrible name for a product) set also sold at daz3d, as the textures included with the Cellar were looking rather low-rez at this camera distance -- particularly the walls.
Even with the replacement textures, I still feel the background texturing kinda lets the overall render down, though. Oh, well.

Try Alienskin's Gradient Glow plugin for photoshop it works quick and does a great job when combined with flamingpear's Solarcell you get a really nice glow on the surrounding surfaces that works every bit as well and can be applied in seconds.
Here's the link and an example
