It's funny that Godzilla has been in comic books, manga, two American cartoons and pretty much everything else BUT a anime.
This really needs to happen because it would be a dream come true for fans and would help Godzilla retch out to the anime cominity.
Great job!!!

You would think a Godzilla Anime would've at least been attempted in the last 60 years. Hope there would be an anime with the success of the 2014 film

Pretty cool! I like the detail you did in the Big G's hide. Sort of reminds me of the way they use to draw him in the old Dark Horse comics of him.

Good job on the the picture. A well produced anime is something that could help Godzilla out. It could introduce younger audiences and revitalize interest in the series. Something which the franchise really needs at the moment seeing that it has been out of commission since the box office disaster that was Final Wars.

The only problem with this is that kaiju aren't doing too well in Japan right now. I don't think any anime studio would want to risk doing an anime based on a traditional kaiju franchise for that reason.

I'm aware that the market for kaiju in Japan at the moment isn't the greatest, probably the result of nearly two decades of mediocre films, yet the Ultra Series has managed to survive. If I heard currently, the youth haven't been properly introduced to the franchise yet and remember youth played a significant role in Godzilla's Golden Age. Toho needs to attract the attention of younger audiences if it hopes to breathe commercial life into the series again.

That is exactly what I was thinking when I was drawing this, plus just imagine what the Opening Theme Song would sound like, it would probably be "Godzilla's Theme" mixed with a badass Japanese rock song.

Well Godzilla vs. Biollante had a rock version of the theme (www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlyVD6… , but I see your point (and I agree). A anime of Godzilla would seem like an almost natural thing to do, take two of some of the most biggest things that the Japanese are known and put them together. Toho has so many unused stories lines and neglected monsters they could work with. Before they start producing films on their own again, they could reintroduce Godzilla.

The guys at Toho are just a bunch of narrow-minded fucks who want you to pay to see Godzilla at theatres.
