I didn't really know if/where I wanted to fit Fergus in. I was never the biggest fan of him, so I wasn't in a rush to include him. And the headcanon was becoming so crowded that I didn't know where he'd go (admittedly, I'm thinking of cutting a couple at some point). Then I searched the wiki and saw that the cement works from the show was located on the Kirk Ronan branch. So that's where Fergus is now. Stationed at the cement works, taking cement trucks to either Kellsthorpe junction or Kirk Ronan harbour.

Safe to say he doesn't get on with Philip.

FERGUS: Those things need discipline. Treating them like that won't make them fall in line. Do it right!
PHILIP: I've never had any complaints or reports of accidents with goods trains I've shunted. The trucks are happy and trains arrive on time. You just can't admit that your methods are outdated.
