Note that I am printing these foxes for you, the public to own something special. I am making hardly to none profit off these guys so please do not complain about the prices. There's little I can do about that and no one is forcing you to purchase a unit. Thank you.
1. So, I picked up the last prototype today! 
2. The fox in the bottom three pictures was the very first unit I had printed by shapeways. This one is top quality made by a professional company ---> www.shapeways.com/ This one is made out of nylon and has a very strong see-through effect that i showed before goiku.deviantart.com/art/3D-pr⦠. Unfortunately it was printed slightly too small but it would still look really cool on a lighting base. I will not be using this service to make the final product so only one will be available.

The one of the video is ABS or Nylon? I guess it is nylon because it is very smooth?

The video shows the ABS version, as the particular nylon copy was printed slightly too small (as a result the tea light doesn't fit in it.) The ABS is very smooth as well but you can see that its made of thousands of tiny layers (its not disturbing or anything and you will only notice if you look at it critically) while the nylon version is perfectly smooth.

I'm not using any special service but I'm a member of a community that focusses on 3D printing. There are quite some people in the Netherlands who own a 3D printer at home already. Although not as advanced as a professional company such as Shapeways, they deliver prints for an affordable price. I can contact these private people for projects and in turn they get paid for each inquiry they accept.

Oh that's so cool! I wish I knew someone with a 3D printer. Β Here in the US they are coming down in price but still nothing close to what I can afford around $2,000. Β I'm just starting in 3D modeling & really enjoy it, but can't find anyone to print what I want

How many foxes I'll have made depends on how many people are interested and how much time the person will have who has to complete the prints. I plan to keep it small scale though. The first batch of pre-orders I will accept will probably be 5 or 10 at most.Β

Nylon is like twice as expensive because only the more advanced 3D printers can work with this material ^^' It does however look amazing and the option will be available if you don't mind paying for quality.

How do you make this with ABS plastic?? Can you make a tutorial please??

3D printers work with threads of filament that you can get in various colours and materials. www.makershed.com/1_75mm_ABS_1β¦ In this case ABS plastic was used. I'm not sure how it works precisely seeing as I'm not the one owning the printer, but its pretty a nifty piece of technology.Β
