The background is amazing. Simple, but effective - everything you need. Th rest looks a bit artificial (it doesn't interact with te background, it doesn't influence the lightning and so on) but that might be on purpose, I don't know.

Very interesting. I can't say I'm entirely sure what to think of this because its so far from my own style of art but it definitely has its own merits. Your sky is very well done and the way you've incorporated the graphics is also very nicely done.
