What is their sense of purpose like in their new life? Did they become a Traveler or a Trespasser?

It spends hours gazing into the water, searching for a reflection that is not there. Would it recognize itself if it saw what it was now?
The ceaseless yearning it feels abates marginally as it runs its toes through cool waters. It seems..not quite happy--happy is too strong of a word--but not quite sad, either...

It does not know what this fleeting, painfully ephemeral feeling is called; it does not know that we have a word for it: contentment.

Just for a moment, it is content, and all is well within its small world.
