Well, the anime is too gay to begin with lelel, I enjoy this franchise as I enjoy Touhou, too confused with the canon and too scared with the fandom. But have you watched the movie? Charlotte teamed up with Mami there, she suddenly become a core character follows the other 5, even gained human form.

Homura screwed things up ofc, thanks for trying changing the future lelel. You can say she created altered universes where eveyone live and dead but they are still going as Homura returned to the past. In the anime ending at least Sayaka is not returning, everyone including Meduka, Sayaka and Charlotte returns in the movie. Just watch when you have time cuz there's Charlotte taking spotlight :^)

Grief Syndrome is a game for Puella Magi. It was NIS who published it. GUST has nothing to do with it nor published it. And they never made any fangame for Touhou. NIS is the one who responsible to publish Touhou's fangame to the console. Developer and Publisher are two different thingsΒ Β
