I'm back, and I'm badder than ever..... Yah... so this is 7 to 8 months late. I have prepared a huge bucket of kentucky fried sorry for you all.
So. Here we are, in the mushroom swamp. (no you don't get to see what happens to Sarah's egg just yet)
And this is how my comic blends with the game story line! hooray!

Character lineart is finished, character colouring is in progress, basic background sketch is finished(needs finalizing), basic dialogue in place, needs shading and various effects.
I'll be trying to finish it within the next month. Hopefully.

Ah. Well, I didn't want to really show any gore, so to speak, but the monster thing was very hungry. And the mother was its dinner. ....Sorry.

Fog = awesome
Monkeys = epic
Scale detail = mind-blowingly amazing
