just some boredom-induced sketches from yesterday.

the droog sketch is mainly from quick brainstorming of the characters' pasts.

headcanon/semi-AU/mostly-PS-verse facts to follow:

I figure, for whatever reason - maybe something to do with his natural fashionista-sense - droog actually came from a nice background, and maybe went to some a fancy shmancy private school, thus fulfilling his dreams of wearing those superexpensive finely tailored private school outfits. like the ones that look like they had to be imported from the UK or something. actually, it would be cool if Droog was from Europe. I've just decided that is a new headcanon fact. which I made up just now.

so yeah, he was a total chav. whoops, I mean neo-chav. who took saxophone classes. probably met Slick in some cafe that he practiced saxaphone-ing at, on some dark and rainy European night. it was a cafe Slick just happened upon in some area he wound up in that he wasn't used to, because he most definitely wasn't from a fancy nice lavish area like Droog was. but it was raining and he didn't feel like getting wet so he happened to end up there and, hey look, a piano, what a great way to pass the time in this chav-infested area while waiting for the rain to clear up.

and so, Droog probably noticed Slick sitting, playing away at the piano, and he was a mighty fucking fine player for someone who clearly didn't come from such a refined background as he did, because Droog so had that elitist 'ew streetrat' way of thinking in this headcanon, and maybe still has a little bit of it left to wash off. so he joined him, arbitrarily. then they talked, then they argued, then they fought. then they didn't meet for a while, but they just happened to find eachother at that cafe again not too long afterwards - slick totally blamed it on the bad weather, droog just smirked, made a snide comment, and they were back to fighting again. time went on, they played songs, they met hb and cd, formed a finely crafted but modest jazz band, and eventually, but of course inevitably 4-person mafia. somehow shadow magic happened. then slick and droog fought again. such a loving relationship.

also going with what I've seen several people say around the magical land of the internet, that Droog is of Italiano decent.

ranting now, somebody stop me.

OH AND, OF COURSE: MC icon update: Clubs Deuce icon and Hearts Boxcars icon, both done and done.

I promise Droogicon will get done later today, and then Slickicon to follow.
