blah i wanna go check noooooow... but that would cost me another £3.40 bus fare. I already have to go tomorrow for a jobsearch appointment so may as well use that ticket. But I'm getting impatient. They better bloody well have my TARDIS in stock.
Actually I just realised. I don't want to go to Toys R Us. That's where I had job interview near 4 weeks ago and they never got back to me. I'm mad at them now and don't want to give them my money. grrr....

Well best to go tomorrow and save some cash! you never know you might even find an Amy Pond Figure too! hehe there ment to be out soon.
Well just think getting your TARDIS from toys r us will save you a lot of hassle tracking them down in another shop. would have been good working there tho as you would know when the new stuff came in!

Yup. I did. Also pre-ordered my 11 Docs figs at Forbidden Planet. Got scout class Brakedown Transformer too. And I've traded in some ps3 games to buy Transformers - War for Cybertron on Friday. Bloody hate the designs in that game (most of the alt forms are pathetic, you seen Soundwaves car form that has his tapedeck chest as the front 'cockpit' bit or whatever? It's crap) but the game itself sounds bloody cool to play and the story mode is 3 player co op at any time. Bumblebee looks kinda cool if you like G1 Bee (I was never a fan, movie-Bee all the way for me) though Megatron looks way too 'Animated' and I loathe that show. Still like I said it should be fun and I need a good fun new co op thing. Apparently the competitive modes you don't use canon characters but make your own with a simple custom thingy so that can be cool.

Cool! glad you got it! and some people are saying the 11 doctor box set might be out in a couple of weeks now!? :S
I never really got into the newish 'Animated' series of TF. some of the figures i got but most i left. but i may watch if someday if they release a cheap box set. hehe

yeah forbidden planet said that to me today.
i never want to watch another episode of that show again. i gave it a proper go, first 6 or 8 episodes i think it was and I was just put off by the crap 'americanime' drawing, horrible voice acting, and in particular the earlier ones had incredibly lame human villains like that archer guy and the princess on a pony I can't remember the name of. Some lil thing that got lost on the way to the powerpuff girl studios clearly. I watched a later episode too when someone told me the storytelling was awesome but it really wasn't. Ok the movies don't have the best plot but I love the complex designs and they look incredibly especially in HD or on a big screen. I often rewatch Prime's fights particularly that jungle battle

hehe all these figures are going to hit a once me thinks! my poor wallet! hehe
well i only watch the first episode. i got it free with a figure or magazine or some thing. i remember the first few secounds looking good then going down hill after that! hehe but i should give it a go with more episodes. i was not a fan of Beast wars but got a cheap lot of vids with an hand full of episodes for like a quid and watched them and enjoyed then. maybe because they had some ties to Gen 1 tho. hehe not seen all the eps tho. only about 15 or so but they were ok.
hehe yeah they have got some good battle scenes in the movies! but nothing compare to the pure power of prime fighting in the oringal animated movie and dying! hehe i remeber being chock up by that as a kid!! hehe

beast wars was well written though i still hated the voice acting in it and the CGI was ugly then and almost unbearable now. The toys never appealed to me much either. I never quite got what the point of the mutant mask the earlier ones had either. but yeah the show itself had some good stories.
I dunno. I love the animated movie Prime battle but something just mesmorises me more about live action Prime. I think he's just beautifully designed. I've been tweaking my Buster Optimus Prime some more lately too. Painting some missing details like the brassy color that should be on some areas and I've been adding a black wash to various bits, mostly all the silver chrome. It's lovely chrome but it needed some black wash to make the details really pop out and look more metallic and slightly worn. It's looking lovely.

yeah i wasn't much of a fan of the designs in Beast Wars. some were ok. but i think there much better as vehicles and stuff!
I've tried customising some stuff before with extra paint and stuff but they always turned out cack! hehe

yeah paintings quite hard though the actual modding is something I wish I could do, like I said before about the adding tons more articulation to bricky figures. It's amazing these days that even Scouts and scarily even Legends figures have far more articulation than even most large G1 figures.

hehe yeah i have a few of the little legend figure with so much more posablilty than the ond G1 figs! i think the best G1 figure i had was Jetfire! that was great! wish i still had him!

Carnivius In reply to CyberDrone [2010-06-24 11:20:39 +0000 UTC]
yeah Jetfire was a rare on in that he had great articulation. I had him too and he was fantastic. Mine ended up stuck in the loft of some friend who turned out to be a weirdo years later. Oh well. Maybe when I'm rich I can own another. Classics Jetfire is a good blend of the G1 toy and cartoon designs though (even if I would prefer less of the cartoon design cos he just seemed a bit like a fat head rather than the cool Macross mech the toy was) and he's one of the few Classics I haven't sold on mainly cos of the nostalgia I have for the original G1 Jetfire toy.
