Took me less than two hours to construct.

"Our time has come again. The organics of this cycle are misguided from the truth. They thought we did not exist, believing us to be mere myth, and they realized the truth when we returned. They believe that using sheer numbers and force will be enough to defeat us and secure victory and peace. They are naive and pathetic: we are indestructible. The last of the Protheans were all but destroyed by our might and power, even if we failed to use them. But that changes nothing: the cycle must continue. We will wipe out entire races and their worlds for the Harvest, just as we have done in time's past. The stars will forever light the dead worlds of lost life. Our conquest shall converge until the end of all times. We are Cataclysm, and our hunt has begun once more."

Considered the "Destroyer of Worlds" by past races, the Reaper known as Cataclysm is considered to be part of a hybrid subspecies of the Reapers. While slightly larger than the more common Sovereign-Class Capitol Ships, Cataclysm-Class Apex Dreadnoughts are more noticeable by their menacing appearances and predatory behavior. These Reapers possess a more ornate and organic body make-up to their body structure, with blood-red bladed "legs", which can create powerful electrical shockwaves upon impact landings, and horns sprouting all over the body. Its most distinctive feature are the two flexible "sails" that make up the split at the tip, which help in enhanced maneuverability. It's legs are slightly longer than most other Reaers, for the purpose of ensnaring enemy warships in its clutches and then tearing them apart with their tips. The three front legs each possess a smaller hinge claw, in the event it's forced forward, allowing its main legs to fold in and support itself from falling. Each leg features a mounted cannon similar to their main weapons, used in space combat and clearing landing zones, and also function as boosters for departure. It also features the supposed torso and face of the race that was harvested to create it on its back. The lighting on its body is crimson red, instead of the blue hue of the other Reapers.
Though considered "true" Reapers, possibly a hundred have ever been created, one for each ten-million years. The purpose for such small numbers is that these Reapers, like Sovereign, remain in the galaxy when the Reaper fleet returns to Dark Space at the end of each cycle, where they then hide themselves within dormant planets across the galaxy with little to no resources, concealed within a makeshift, synthetic "cocoon" to conceal their presence, and undergo a state of hibernation. Before the fleet returns to begin the cycle once again, indoctrinated thralls will awaken the slumbering behemoths by sacrificing themselves into the Deadlock, the labyrinth-like devices that keep the Reapers contained within their coccons during their fifty-thousand year hibernation. Once activated, the cocoon will disperse into a wave of energy as to excavate its occupant from the planet, allowing it to begin its purging once more.
The Apex Dreadnoughts have a specific mandate that they follow: while the main Reaper fleet continues with the harvest, they will assault a handfull of planets with life, whether sentient or not, and become the template of mass extinctions. The multiple mass extinctions that have occurred on Earth, such as the Great Dying and K-T Event, are the causes of these monterous cyborg warships. However, because of this and their predatory behavior, the Apex Dreadnoughts are segregated from most of the fleet, as the other Reapers have come to fear their subspecies; even Harbinger has come to show caution to the approach of one in a system. Another reason is that each Apex Dreadnought will actually kill off any nearby Reapers uopn their completion and absorb the derelict vessels to become true hunters.
Cataclysm, the first of its kind, is only ever used when resistance from targeted races ensues for elongated periods of time, most of them from its assault on three Reapers upon being created. It shows its aged and war-torn nature through the countless scars on its hull. It possesses the arsenal of any other Reaper, but also features a focusing "cage" underneath the base of its centered tentacle, which is used to fire enhanced beams of energized metal from its magnetohydrodynamic weapon. Moreover, its behavior is more of that like a highly-evolved apex predator rather than an all-knowing sentient legion. Although quite intelligent and self-aware, it prefers to hunt rather than dominate, preying on planets with sentient races capable of fighting back and adapting, which is why it relishes the possiblilities to hunt down the human known to all as Shepard.
