Sorry I have been pretty well the living dead more than usual; let's just say things got.... interesting in my work life, ending with the last couple of weeks being a slog of ~60 - 70 hours regular hours with a few weekend hours for good measure. Not exactly great for getting art done!

As such, posting the one little thing I did manage to get done in that time frame, a decent concept for Acero, the beefiest and least edgy Atlasface, that is a good two years overdue! My good inking pins died about a third in, I spent way more time than I should have with something so silly, and you will DEFINITELY have to forgive the fatigue-induced laziness of the editing. I also think the design needs a few tweaks here and there, but I am sure it will be refined over time as always. Second page can be found here.

Lots of inspiration drawn from Blade of the Immortal (which I recently watched the live action adaption of and so should you; it is a fabulous fantasy samurai even if you aren't a fan of the manga), 90s/Y2k Cable (yes, including when Rob Liefeld is on art.... just not when he is writing), the Witcher (started playing the first game back in December and been playing on and off since. Definitely worth the hype!) , and my usual obsession with the Kalevala and Enochian mythology. Oh, and a heaping helping of new Amorphis albums. I wasn't sure how I felt about Under the Red Cloud through Halo, but I have really come to adore these albums as much as everything between Elegy and Circle.

Probably will continue with a few simpler pieces until things stabilize and to continue inking practice... and so I can use up my less impressive ink pens. I am a spoiled brat at this point; I want to open my good ink pens again, but I hate throwing things away so.... catch 22.

Might talk about the divergence of Acero from canon Atlas at a later date (or on his matched piece for the Atlasface set I was working on before my world set aflames)... but I am going to post the other page and then sleep because I have not been doing much of that.
