I got some new "toys" to play with, so I took them on a little spin to test them out on something.... half simple, half not?

Anyway, I am a little late on the inabaukmori fan "train" (I'll see myself out...), but I had been a little out of touch with Vocaloid music for a bit. Turns out, it is a good time to jump back into it, especially with Lagtrain. I am quite enamoured with the song; it's catchy and comforting and uses one of the Vocaloids you might be surprised to know is one of my favourites.

For some reason, "Lagtrain" rather fits Artos in a way I cannot really explain. Probably surprising considering the illustrations of him I have posted previously, but he isn't all intensity and internal tension. He's capable of a melancholy sort of quietude. Not sad per say; "thoughtful" might be the better word. But then, that is any "Atlasface" in general, so staying consistent across very disparate portrayals of Atlas' character, haha~.

It was meant to be a totally monochrome black, grey and white piece. However, I really do have some nice new markers so I perhaps.... got a little happy with the jacket design, but it gives it an original touch as opposed to being a pure derivative of nukunukunigirimesh's PV for the song. It's not quite the usual style for Artos, but he looks rather nice in streetwear, haha~. I also tried to keep the background VERY simple.... with mixed success. Chibi System City is looking a bit scuffed, but the blending on my new markers make up for it. Delicious!

Might do one more little image like this referencing the "Lagtrain" PV; probably the scene with the birds. It's rather iconic, and it gives me a chance to better illustrate Artos' outfit! I did say I liked it despite it being an odd look for the Bread Wraith, haha~.
