Link from Zelda!! OMG! knitted hat. my friend matt asked me to do it after i did the viking hat for john. he wants ears on it, but i'm a tad reluctant to do them....the blue Link hat. i couldn't find a nice green or red to use for the hat but i think the blue is a nice blue. it took a couple of tries, mostly because i didn't wanna knit it on straight needles, but in a tube so i didn't have to sew. no such luck. its kinda big, so i'm hoping matt's head is bigger than mine.
and i tried to sorta look like Link so you get the idea. i tried to look all serious, like Link... O_o''' i don't look like him at all... oh well!

I tried to make a Link hat but <.<...I'm not so good at sewing
So usually i hide snacks in it and wear it in the movie theatres

haha yay! this hat was made on straight needles, so you dont need to finish your scarf right away. i find that if i start something quick, like a hat, and go back to the scarf, its really refreshing to see a different color, other than red and gold. making the hp scarves, as nice as it is, gets boring. going back to it after awhile is a nice breather

well... i could try to write a pattern, it was pretty simple. i dunno if i could remember it.... i think i cast on about 80 st. k1 p1 for about 2.5 inches then went to stockinette. k for 2 more inches. then k2tog at the begining of a knit row, k to the last 2 st on the needles, then k2tog. continue to k2tog until you have one stitch left...
i think!!! i can't remember, i just sorta eyeballed it when binding off. knitting a couple rows normally, then going back to k2tog and so on... :S

Awesome. You could sell those at fairs and stuff if you wanted to stay small. Good luck with the green. Leaf green should be about right, but it really depends how it goes with the material.

thanks! matt wanted a specific green and i couldn't find it, but there's many versions of link, so i could definately find the right green eventually.
i was gonna sell a bunch of my hats at this anime convention, but couldn't get a booth.
