I have a theory on that. Square-cube law might apply. Her strength decreases by a power of two, while her mass decreases by a power of three, making her feel lighter to herself, but she's working with full scale cloth. It'll be the inverse of her reduction scale cubed, meaning that cloth could be as heavy as plate armor, and fairly stiff to move in. Maybe she just couldn't carry any more.
