I really like this photo of your dad, he has great humor and intellect in his eyes. It's a great portrait! I think of the two I saw posted, this would be my choice for a book cover.

Thank you! The most important issue for me was if my dad and his publisher liked it, and this is the one they went for. I think I did about 200 exposures during this shoot. (That's not a lot! It just seems that way!) and of the 15 or so different poses and backgrounds, these two were the ones I chose.

Daddy I and II were done on film with a Minolta Autocord. Two pictures from 24 exposures! You work differently on medium format, I guess!

I sympathize with you there! When I shoot a portrait I sometimes reach the 400 even up to the 700 range.

I notice I definitely spoil myself with digital storage... when I was using film I made sure every shot had my best in it!
