Description
Made from cardIt's a bit of a cursory picture of the model, as you can see it's still got a few lumps and bumps on it.
It has been rendered inside and out. (so I'm still working on the outside) On the table in the dining room there is a tiny model of vera, as well as a can with the label torn off, a medical bag, chairs, etc. The cockpit is rendered with a all the particularls including model dinosaur measuring about 0.5 mils in legnth, carved from blue tack using a needle head (I will upload pictures soon)
On the outside I have removed the primary buffer panel. The lights were a nightmare to do but a worthwhile addition.
I would really like more people to do these, and really start something. I have a model kit that you can print off at home, and if it goes well I'll award prizes - in particular, the working BB replica of vera I am currently working on (I know I just ended a sentence with a preposition there)
Anyone who's interested in a competition, drop me a line and we'll do something

wow that looks amazing. Especially considering it's card. There are alot of cardstock papercraft models I've downloaded before but nothing like this! The lights are a very good addition. Any chance you could get a few more shots from different angles of this? with an object of known demensions for scale? a coke can or a ruler works well.

just a snapshot, but thought you may appreciate this

The flash was a poor choice, but this is for scale/snapshot rather than effect
quite a beasty size in all

Wow, that's really cool. I think the art world really could get into making models, but I'm not sure how something like that would get started. I myself don't really have any intention of doing it, mainly cuz it seems like too much to prepare before actually getting started... you should try looking around for some clubs. There would definitely be some people interested. Anyway, awesome work ^^ Good luck with Vera!

Much appreciated.
Yeah, I'm not too sure how I'd start something like that, and believe it or not it's fairly easy to do, there's just quite a lot of it.
Ill start looking round tomorrow. Where I am, it's 2 in the morning :S
Thanks for looking

It's easy to do, but hard to engineer. You can never tell what those pesky people are thinking. In case there's a Serenity-model-making fad on soon I'll know it was your doing XD

*gasp* I haven't proven to be the nicest thing on earth yet?
just in case you do, my art is temperamental; beware.
besides all that, thank you for the compliment.
