I love doing alien species swaps. So here's Goku and Vegeta but they are gems. Son Goku is a Sunstone and Vegeta is a blue diamond. I know that goes against SU lore, but here me out. Vegeta in DBZ is royalty and the diamonds are kind of royalty, that's my reasoning. though Goku is simply a pun on his name Son. Also Gohan is basically Steven if you think about it.
