A legendary Knight of the Wind once took flight to face off against a queen with ambitions most dark and twisted, wielding the Sacred Sword Excalibur and bolstered by the light of fellow enchanted blades. After mastering Anya's abilities and making them his own, Sonic was able to 'sever' the madness from Gura and save her from the blight of Entropy, leading to the beast finally appearing in person to banish him and everyone else present to the End of Time itself - an eerie and unexplained future. Sonic, Kiara, Calliope and Gura had to fight their way through recreations of familiar locales to reclaim their weapons after concocting a plan to enact the very same ritual Sonic had used to best Merlina and awaken the Excalibur form, something that Kiara knew to be very real.

It was a bitter struggle, Ame was the only person left who was able to stand alongside Sonic and Anya in their desperate fight to keep Entropy from disrupting the ritual, but it all paid off in the end. A brilliant golden light enveloped Sonic and his partner as they were imbued with raw magical power, calcified as new armour and clothing. Sonic had gotten little time with this power before, but it was clear to him now that there was far more to it than a matching suit to go with Excalibur - to that end, he gave it a new name: Sacred Sonic.

Trivia:
- This form was originally just referred to as Excalibur Sonic, but the name change helped broaden the horizons for our take on this power as well as its potential beyond the original context it debuted under. While Sacred Sonic's different 'styles' are all fundamentally the same form, they can be influenced by the weapon from which they are associated with: Since Anya can cast light magic freely and offers Sonic some projectile attacks, one might say that the Keris style has more 'caster' elements to accompany it's knightly ones.

- The design change was brought about around the same time as the form's return was, starting as 'Excalibur Sonic, but with Indonesian armour'. Anya's design, the 'Legendary Sacred Keris' (or just Sacred Anya for short) features the same broad shoulders and a coat based on furs worn by Indonesian warriors as Sacred Sonic.
