I don't think the two programs are using the same techniques (I don't really know how UF works), but if you look at the resulting pictures, yes maybe they are close now... Thanks for your comment!

I think UF uses some of the same algorithms from Apo, but Apo has a recursive methodology that UF can't deliver.
I still prefer UF though as my fractal interests come from Mandelnautics, which Apo has little to do with, but you always make great looking Apo works, which is what counts.
