Eleanor: "Now, before I do this, I think it'd be best if we both put our heads back where they belong...obviously, it'll make things a lot easier for me if I'm in one piece...and as for you, Lauren...when was the last time you had your head attached?"

Lauren: "Um...y-yesterday evening...*sigh*...yeah, I probably need to put myself back together soon, don't I?"

Eleanor: "Probably...you don't want to have to deal with the effects of separation anxiety, do you?"

Lauren: "Eh...not really..."

Eleanor: "Great! Now if you don't mind getting your head reattached, I'll do the same with mine and-"

*PLOP* *PLOP*

Eleanor: "Ah, that feels soooo good!"

Lauren: "You know, as much as I LOVE having my head detached...sometimes it's nice to not have to worry about carrying it around or keeping up with where it is, you know?"

Eleanor: "Trust me, Lauren, I know exactly what you mean...anyways, I'll need a minute to go grab the bracelet - and the pair of crutches I keep specifically for when I do this - so...just stay here and I'll be back shortly, alright?"

*FWASH*

Lauren: "Hmm....you know, I probably do need to change out of these pajamas soon...alright, lemme just get the magic flowing through my fingers real quick and-"

Lauren: "Oh, yeah...that's much better! Can't go wrong with my one of my favorite outfits and...wait...if Ellie's got a pair of crutches just for doing stuff like this, then...huh...I guess she wasn't lying when said she us dullahans were a bit 'weird' and-"

Eleanor: "Alright, Lauren, I think I'm ready to - oh, I see you went ahead and changed outfits while I was gone..."

Lauren: "Yeah, well it seems I'm not the only one that opted for a quick wardrobe change! What's with the skirt?”

Eleanor: "Oh, this? Well...I've found that long pants tend to get in the way when I'm crutching around, so...I like to change into something a little less...restrictive...when I do this..."

Lauren: "Huh...you know, that actually makes sense...I guess..."

Eleanor: "Anyways, give me just a second to move this table out of the way, and...alright, I think we're ready! So, as you might expect, the actual process of using the bracelet is quite simple: you just undo this clip here, wrap the bracelet around your wrist, clip it back together and-"

*WOOOOSH*

Eleanor: "Whew...that rush of energy that goes through your body when it's being altered...I don't think I'll ever get tired of that feeling, you know? *sigh* Anyways, as you can plainly see, the bracelet's enchantment has already altered my body, reducing my left leg to nothing more than a stump for the next 24 hours!"

Lauren: "Heh...so it actually does work! Alright, so when do I...hey, I just thought of something: what happens if you take the bracelet off before the 24 hours are up? Does your body just go back to normal or-"

Eleanor: "Actually, it's quite impossible for me to remove it right now. You see, most enchanted items have a few built-in safety features to protect the wearer and-"

Lauren: *sigh* "Ellie, you think we could just skip to the fun part? You know, the part where you tell me how long it’ll take you to make a couple of those bracelets? I mean, Zoey and I both kinda want one, so-"

Eleanor: "Don't worry, Lauren...I'll make sure you and your sister both get one of these....eventually....however, there is one small issue: I actually won't be making the bracelets for you..."

Lauren: "OH, COME ON, ELLIE! YOU CAN'T JUST TELL ME THAT THIS IS POSSIBLE AND-"

Eleanor: "That's because I'm going to help YOU make the bracelets instead!"

Lauren: "What? You want ME to make them? Ellie...just because I figured out a way to make my idea work doesn't mean that I actually know HOW to create a-"

Eleanor: "Don't worry, Lauren...since it'll be your first time creating an enchanted item, I'll be there to guide you through the entire process...it's actually quite simple, once you get the hang of it..."

Lauren: "R-really? So...could we...you know...make one, like...right now?"

Eleanor: "Heh...Lauren, I know you're just dying to try this again, but...I think it would be best if we waited until another day...after all, it'll be a LOT easier for me to guide you through the process when I'm not 'altered' like I am now..."

Lauren: *sigh* "Fine...I guess I can wait for a while and...hmm...hey, Ellie, I've got another question: is making your leg disappear the ONLY thing that bracelet will do? Or can you make it do...other...things?"

Eleanor: "Well...yes, but...also no..."

Lauren: "Um...o-ok...Ellie, you're not making much sense right now, you know?"

Eleanor: "That was precisely my point, Lauren...here, let me explain what I meant by that...so, creating an enchanted item requires a large amount of mystical energy; as such, most enchanted items are only capable of possessing a single effect. However, there's nothing stopping you from creating a small collection of enchanted items, each with their own unique effect and-"

Lauren: "Ok, I...I think I've got it now...so, you just need to make a separate enchanted item for each effect you wanna use and....hmm...hey, Ellie, just how many enchanted items are in YOUR collection? "

Eleanor: "Hmm...well, in addition to the bracelet I'm wearing now, I've got another bracelet that'll make one of my arms disappear instead...then there's the special pair of bracelets that'll give me an extra set of arms...oh, and then there's-"

Lauren: "Hold up...Ellie, d-did you just say you can give yourself EXTRA arms?"

Eleanor: "That's right!"

Lauren: "Ok...first, you've definitely gotta show me that sometime! More importantly, though...if you can use enchanted items to give yourself more limbs, then...could they also be used to...maybe...restore someone else's amputated limb instead? I mean, even if it only works for, like, one day a week, then-"

Eleanor: *sigh* "Of course you'd ask about that...Lauren, we've discussed this many times over the past few months: Fae magic - regardless of what element it is - simply isn't capable of permanently regenerating someone's amputated limb and-"

Lauren: "I didn't say anything about it being permanent, did I? I'm just wondering if there's a way to make something that could...you know...give Heather her leg back for a day? Or maybe....maybe even let Claire experience what's it’s like to...you know...have TWO legs? I mean, she's been an amputee since she was just a year old, so-"

Eleanor: "Lauren, I...I truly appreciate your desire to help your friends, but...let me be completely honest with you: I'm not sure that what you're asking is even possible...*sigh*...however, I'm willing to make you a deal: since you're my favorite student, I-"

Lauren: "I'm your ONLY student, Ellie..."

Eleanor: And that's why you're my favorite! Anyways...I'll agree to do some research on the subject, see if I can't come up with a way to make something that'll help your friends...but ONLY if you agree to stop asking me about it, alright?"

Lauren: "R-really? Y-you'd actually do that? T-thanks, Ellie!"

Eleanor: "So...is there anything else you wanted to talk about?"
