Zoey: “Hmm…let’s see…Heather’s getting her new leg worked on…Claire went with her for support…and Lauren’s spending the morning over at Eleanor’s, so…*sigh*…I guess it’s gonna be quiet here for a while…oh, well…that just gives me time to get some morning exercises in, maybe spend some time playing with Gwen and-“

Lauren: “Hey, is anyone in here? I….oh, hey, Z! What’cha doing?”

Zoey: “L-Lauren? W-what are you doing here? I…I thought you were gonna spend the morning training with Eleanor?

Lauren: “Oh, that? *sigh* Yeah, well…we were just about to get started when Ellie got a call about an ‘urgent business matter’ she needed to take care of, so…that means I’m kinda free to hang out with everyone for a while…hey, you wouldn’t happen to know where Heather and Claire are, would you? I’ve looked pretty much everywhere for them, but-

Zoey: “Lauren…you know Heather was going to get her prosthetic worked on, right?”

Lauren: “Oh, yeah…she did mention something about that during breakfast, didn’t she? And…I think Claire said she was going with her, right?”

Zoey: “Yeah…you know Claire’s been doing everything she can to support Heather while she adapts to having only one leg, so-“

Lauren: “-so they’re both gonna be gone for a while…*sigh*…oh, well…I guess I’ll just have to show them my new trick later, then…”

Zoey: “Wait…a-a new trick? *sigh* I’m probably gonna regret this, but…w-what exactly does this ‘new trick’ do, anyways?”

Lauren: “Heh…I’m glad you asked, Z! Here, lemme show you…oh, and since you asked me about it…I’m assuming that means you wanna be part of the trick too, so-“

Zoey: “W-what? No, of course not! Lauren, I….wait…Lauren, why are your hands glowing? You’re not about to…L-Lauren, wait! I-I didn’t agree to-“

Lauren: “Heh heh heh…”

*FWASH*

Zoey: “……unnh….w-what happened? W-why does my head feel so…odd…all of a sudden?”

Lauren: “Heh…I think you already know the answer to that, Z…”

Zoey: “L-Lauren?....oh, that’s right…you used your magic on me…even though I told you I wasn’t volunteering for your new ‘trick’ and….huh…that’s odd…I feel like I’m a bit taller now and…and I…wait…t-this can’t be right….it…it almost feels like there’s a….another body…attached to my neck and-“

Lauren: “That’s because there IS another body attached to your neck, Z…”

Zoey: “L-LAUREN!? W-WHAT DID YOU JUST DO TO US?”

Lauren: “Oh, not much…I just transformed our heads into nearly perfect copies of our upper bodies…sure, they’re a bit smaller than our actual upper bodies, but-“

Zoey: “Lauren, W-WHY would you even do something like this?”

Lauren: “Well…after Ellie left, I got bored so…I started flipping through one of her old spell books…that’s when I came across this spell that turns a normal person into something called a ‘humantaur’ and-“

Zoey: “-and you thought it’d be okay to take a spell you’ve never used before and just use it on someone else? You know…like you did that time you turned that girl into gold?”

Lauren: “Hey, she deserved it! I mean…the way she was treating Claire that day…she’s lucky that all I did was turn her to gold, you know? And after what Heather told me about her encounter with the ‘Bitch,’ well…let’s just say that she better hope I don’t run into her or-”

Zoey: *sigh* “Why don’t we just focus on our current situation, alright? I mean…y-you can undo this, right?”

Lauren: “Don’t worry, Z…I actually practiced using this spell on myself a few times before I came back here, so…yeah, I can change us back to normal…but…I mean…aren’t you at least a little bit interested in seeing what this ‘humantaur’ form can do?”

Zoey: “Hmm…well…I mean…this ‘form’ is….it’s probably the weirdest thing you’ve ever done to us and-“

Lauren: “Even weirder than what I had Eleanor do to us yesterday?”

Zoey: “Well….yeah…I mean…having a leg ‘magically amputated’ for a day is…well, it’s pretty 'normal' compared to something like…THIS…but…*sigh*…anyways….these ‘new’ upper bodies we’ve got…they work just like our ‘’original’ bodies, don’t they? And…I can still control my ‘original’ body, too…so…wait…wouldn’t that mean that….that I’ve technically got…four…arms now?“

Lauren: “Heh…now you’re starting to understand why I wanted to try this form out! Anyways, I think we’ve got a little bit of free time, so…you wanna give these new forms a quick workout?”

Zoey: “Hmm….well…that’s actually why I came in here….and I don’t really have anything else to do today, so…sure, why not!”

Lauren: “Great! Just…can you do me a favor and NOT tell Heather and Claire about this? I’d really like to keep this a surprise until I can find a good time to-“

Zoey: “-to use this on them? *sigh* Fine….I guess I can keep it a secret for now…”

Lauren: “Thanks, Z! Alright, then…let’s get started!”
