Heather: *sigh* "I can't believe I let you talk me into this, Lauren."

Lauren: "Oh, come on, Heather, it's just a quick New Year's group photo..."

Heather: "Y-yeah, but...do we REALLY have to do it...well, you know...HEADLESS?"

Lauren: *sigh* "Heather, I thought we ALL agreed to do this headless, remember? I mean, that's the ONLY reason I agreed to wear this dress...and you know how much I HATE wearing dresses, right?"

Heather: "I know, Lauren, just..." *POP!* "...let's just get this over with, ok?"

Lauren: "Oh, all right....hey, Ellie! We're ready when you are!"

Eleanor: *sigh* "Lauren, didn't I tell you NOT to call me that?"

Lauren: "Oh, right...sorry, Eleanor."

Eleanor: "No worries, just don't do it again, ok? All right, everyone, smile for the camera, please! *CLICK* *CLICK* *CLICK* ...and we're done! I'll send these to you shortly, Lauren!"

Lauren: "Thanks, Elli...I mean, Eleanor. All right, ladies, now that the photo shoot's over...let's have some fun!"

When I first introduced Lauren exactly one year ago, I honestly had no idea how popular Lauren - and her friends - would end up being. But what a first year it's been for them. Lauren enjoyed showing off her unique talents ....even when it left her in pieces . Zoey quickly adapted to her sister's 'gift' by showing it off with her sister - but also learned (the hard way ) just how troublesome cats can be. Claire demonstrated how well telekinesis and natural body magic go together (and even showed off how her powers help her exercise - until Lauren rudely interrupted, that is). Plus, she met a new friend who understands what it's like having only one leg. Meanwhile, Heather was a bit more reluctant to accept Lauren's 'gift' than her friends, and though she eventually accepted it, trying it out for the first time still left her shocked. Fortunately, Lauren's more than willing to help Heather get more comfortable with her new ability, even convincing her to pose for a quick photo while headless .

Then there's Yuki , whose spiritual powers are a mystery even to her...

Oh, and let's not forget about Kira , whose cybernetic body received some rather interesting upgrades as well.

Thank you to EVERY ONE of you out there that's watched, faved, or commented on my works this past year. Even if I don't always reply, I GREATLY appreciate all the support you've shown me.

Of course, there's more to come in 2022. After all, there's still a magic show to finish up. Once that's done, maybe Yuki (and others ) will end up meeting the group (and most likely lose their heads once they meet Lauren). And just who is this "Eleanor" that took the picture - and how do her and Lauren know each other?

Also, I can't believe it took me a full year to finally get Zoey, Lauren, Heather and Claire all in one group shot like this (and no, that movie night doesn't count lol)
