Helena was tempted to not even look at the percentages, pack her stuff and go home as soon as possible. However, that would be terrible show etiquette and she did not need to ruin her reputation any further. A failed trainer and business woman was plenty. She walked, unmotivated and hesitant over to the score boards when the final percentages were posted. She started skimmin the entrant list from the bottom, expecting her name to be somewhere in the anonymous middle, but she couldnt find her name anywhere. Odd, she had passed the vet checks with flying colors? She didnt see her name on the list of disqualified entrants either. Her finger ran along the scoreboard, reading more thorough this time untill the remaining top five, then top three, followed by top two, and then there, at the top. Kikimora and herself. Helena stepped back, feeling as though her stomach was taking backflips on her.

With her hands slightly trembling she recieved her rosette, the blanket and the money for first place. The envelop felt heavy in her hand even though it was just a signed check that would have to be cashed in later. It made no difference, the weight of its importance made sure of that. As soon as the award ceremony was over, Helena hurried back to Kikimora. If she stood there any longer she would break down in front of everyone. Already before she reached Kikimora, her tears streamed down her cheeks, hot and salty and seemingly endless. She had bought Nattvik a small room to breath. The window wasnt big, but they would be able to put up a plan, they got the first public recognition. There was not many who would notice a lower class than GP, but it was a start, and it was a success. Helena continued to ball her eyes out, Kikimora nudging her softly, curious about the sudden change in her owner's mood but also not understanding why someone who appeared to be so happy still cried. Humans were a mystery really.
