Description
This is a return to an idea I had back in 2011, the next to last painting I created using a mouse. At that point I knew that till I got a tablet I was being very limited. I proceeded to not paint much in 2012 then to finally get a tablet and return to painting in 2013. Now almost 2 years later after getting a tablet I decided to take another swing at the idea to see just how much I've learned and improved as well as how much a difference a tablet makes.Related content

A well done illustration, the armor is very convincing and the gaze in her expression gives that warrior vibe to her.

have a tablet myself just got for a gift, but have yet to use it. they say it helps in 3D so am going to give it a try, but your work is really magnificent. The water looks most realistic as well so does the background. Love all the little details that you have put into this. In personal opinion, it was all worth it. but how much time did you actually spend on this? Anyways, many thanks for sharing it with we do appreciate it.

In total work hours maybe 30 hours or so, I am somewhat of a slow painter anyway and a lot of the time on this I didn't have a set idea. I knew the pose and face but not the armor detail so I made that up as I went which took quite a bit of time.
