Description Raksha thinks that punishment at the right time and in the right amount is necessary for healthy education. Danka hardly ever needed any, Marley on the other hand...:]

You asked about training - this is what I mean. The boundaries are set since the very first days. The puppies learnt that sometimes their mom lets them tackle her to the ground, lets them to chew her ears, crawl all over her enjoy their moment of victory and doesn't even push them away, but when she is serious about something and they don't obey/submit, then she makes them. No discussion at that moment, no negotiation:]
And another integral part - hand tailored approach to every pup. Danka was very mellow, the most submissive of all her siblings and I don't even recall Raksha ever disciplining her so roughly like this. Marley was a different temperament altogether - she was the first puppy to explore, to provoke siblings and soon she started provoking and annoying Raksha as well, all the time. Raksha had to tousle her all the time Even after a big punishment, one that would send other pups squealing running for the cover of their kennel, Marley would step aside for a while, shake it off and start provoking Raksha all over again... and as she grew, I noticed that she sometimes even started growling back at her mom while being pushed to the ground, thinking of fighting back already at such young age

Haha that's so adorable! Really nice shot. What does the punishment consist of?

Thank you. Raksha usually grabbed them and pinned them to the ground. A few times she carried them by their head like this, and THEN pinned them down, sometimes she tackled them down when running, rolling them on the ground. It looked rough, but she was very careful not to hurt them for real;] They were quick to shake it off too, especially Marley - as she grew older she even started fighting back, growling. Tired of submitting already:]

Haha, well it's good that she knows how to discipline them, I'm sure they need it!

Thanks for the reply! C:
