Why is Steven and Chrysocolla so surprised that the fusion worked? Little known to Steven, Onyx and Emerald weren't as close as they are now. Back on Homeworld, after Emerald found out about some dirty, little secret Onyx had they hated each other's guts. They argued to the point where even Onyx's superior had to step in before she went berserk and smashed Emerald's gem. Excluding this fusion they have only fused two times. The first one failed half way and the second time the fusion result was horrendous due to their hate for each other.:edit: Chrysocolla's colored fusion can be found here: fav.me/d91vksx As seen above something has been added to the design. A new, colored version of the design will be uploaded at a date.
