Description
Starring me and my cat lolThis is based off a drawing I made in the 10th or 11th grade in art class. I was taking sculpture at the time however every morning we had a 10-15min time frame in which we would doodle based off a prompt given to us. Usually the prompt was something dumb like "draw your hand using only one continuous line" or "draw an object in the room". The prompt I liked the most was "If you were a cartoon character what would your world look like?" A lot of girls went for the princess route and lots of guys went for the superhero route but for some reason I REALLY wanted to do something space themed so I went for a cute space warrior thing.

I redid the picture using a somewhat more cartoony style and used stronger colors since it's what I wanted from the start but I could't accomplish it with color pencils. I was also heavily inspired by superhero comics and tried to mimic the style which I hope I succeeded in. Overall I think the idea is cute and I'd like to make a comic based of this but I don't have the time ughhh If I ever do I'll be sure to use this as the cover page ^^

The colours, lighting and linework are better in this one, but i found that the last one was more dynamic.

Yeah you're right! The reason that this one doesn't have that "wow" factor was because this was originally a warm up sketch. I liked how it was coming out and decided to continue with the work I had already done, if I had known that I was going to properly finish the sketch I would have gone for something more dynamic.
