It's become a very personal movie, because not only can this autistic artist connect with the expressions and emotions that the canine characters portray, but because coupled with that is the fact that Balto mirrors much of myself. Being an outcast, unknown of purpose, mistreated and bullied by so many others. Being afraid of physical touch, shunning friends when depressed, and only having a very few close friends, without which my life would have been incredibly bleak. There is so much of this film I connect to.

As one person put it, "you've entered this world, and now you don't want to leave."
