I wanted to show a painting process that I like to do sometimes when painting landscapes. I usually get a lot images onto a blank canvas of a theme that I'm going to paint.So for this painting I put a bunch of snow landscape images together to get the colors and mood already on the canvas. I then color pick off the images and start painting on top of the photos to help get the image I see in my head.
This is a fun way to get colors, mood, composition and lighting for a painting. Enjoy!
About 1 1/2 hours for total painting.

Great job conveying such a pretty scene even though the weather looks quite harsh. Despite the obvious brutal cold winds depicted here, I still want to go visit right now, haha!
